Lachlyn, Founding editor


Hiyya.org creator and editor Lachlyn has worked for over a decade in the Muslim world as a diplomat, journalist and researcher for the UN, Al Jazeera America, and the U.S. government covering refugee affairs and security sector reform.  She has lived in 11 countries on four continents, including Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Indonesia, and the Philippines.   

Lachlyn speaks Arabic, Indonesian, Japanese and some Farsi.  She holds a masters degree in international relations and public policy from Princeton University.
